Scrip Gift Card Program

The Band Boosters offer the Scrip Gift Card Program as a way for parents to fundraise for the sole benefit of their child(ren). It is available to all families in the band and guard programs, regardless of grade or specific group they participate in. In a nutshell, you purchase gift cards through Great Lakes Scrip at face value, and you get a rebate placed in your child’s fair share account. Funds in your child’s account can be used to offset future guard and band intangible expenses, such as participation fees and private lessons.

The program is simple to use:

1. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com and see what merchants and gift cards are available (there are hundreds), along with their individual rebate amounts. To purchase cards, you must create an account via the Get Started page. In the registration process, enter the Band Booster enrollment code, which is 13F87L4427L9.
2. Place an order at any time. It will be stored on the website and submitted to GL Scrip only when the Band Booster Kroger/Scrip Coordinator releases all Booster orders together. This is done approximately once a month, typically the Sunday before the monthly Booster membership meeting.
3. Within 2-3 days of submitting the entire Booster order, the cards are delivered to the Kroger/Scrip Coordinator. She sends an email to the Booster email distribution list to inform everyone that the orders are ready for pickup at her house or before/after the Band Booster meeting.
4. As long as you have a fair share account balance you will receive a monthly fair share statement via email from the Band Booster Treasurer, which will show your Scrip rebates.

Things to know:

1. You have 2 payment options:
   1. Cash or check – This must be mailed or handed directly to the Kroger/Scrip Coordinator before the order deadline. The Coordinator cannot submit unpaid orders to Scrip.
   2. PrestoPay – This method allows Scrip to debit your checking account directly when you place an order. See the Scrip website for more information.
2. It’s very important that you subscribe to the Band Booster email distribution list via the Contact Us page on the Booster website. The Kroger/Scrip Coordinator uses this to notify parents of order deadlines, card delivery, and other Scrip information.
3. Scrip orders, payments, and gift cards may only be handled by parents and the Coordinator. Our students may not be used as couriers for money or cards.
4. If you cannot order online, you may print off the form in Excel or PDF format and submit it with payment to the Kroger/Scrip Coordinator. Note that this form has only a small fraction of the available merchants, doesn’t not include temporary bonus offers, and may not reflect recent changes to merchant rebate amounts.

Make the most of this program:

1. Invite friends and family members to order cards, either through you or by opening their own accounts for your child.
2. Merchants occasionally have short-term bonus rebate offers – make sure you frequently check these out on the Scrip website What’s New/Special Offers pages.
3. Plan in advance to have hotel cards before travelling, home improvement cards for unexpected household repairs, iTunes cards for birthday gifts, and clothing store cards for back-to-school shopping.
