June 26, 2008 MINUTES: Minutes approved without revision.
TREASURER’S REPORT; Joe Haas- Joe presented, to the
membership, May and June’s fiscal report.
Time was spent explaining the reports.
A discussion ensued in regards to the accounting of the Winter Guard
account. Due to the amount of questions,
an executive board meeting has been called to discuss this matter in
detail. Joe did point out to the
membership that the Boosters will need to do additional fund raising to cover
the budget shortfall.
PRESIDENTS’ REPORT; Kim Slade and Brenda Baynes-
Band Camp packets have been mailed.
Things are gearing up for Band Camp.
Please watch for emails. We still
need chaperones, help with food for students and Directors/Clinicians.
DIRECTORS’ REPORT:
Brian Brown and Drew Steinbrecher- Contest schedule
has been finalized for the 2008 Marching Band season. Mr. Brown thanked everyone for their support
for the Jazz Band event on July 18.
Boosters netted $780.
Mr. Brown and Drew Steinbrecher
spent time describing the upcoming season – in regards to the music and visual
effects. The music is almost
completed. Rookie Camp is going
great. Senior leadership was
dynamite. Discussion ensued on the show’s props.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
WAYS AND MEANS: Kim
Haas- Reinerated the need for the Band Boosters to fund
raise. Still selling
Reds Tickets. Boosters will make
$2. on each ticket sold.
Max and Erma’s Restaurant will host fund raiser on Sept. 22,
08. Spiritwear
is available for order. Decision made
not to do car washes this year, Fruit sale cost us $100. Mulch sale was down 1,500 bags.

Presto Pay, it is much easier and quicker.
We have Panera Strips available
and Kroger Cards.

AT LARGE- No report.
CHAPERONES- Kim Haas- Theresa Wandstrat
has handled scheduling for Band Camp and has most covered.
EQUIPMENT: Tony
Brewer- Clean
the Shed Day is scheduled for August 9th beginining
at 8:00 am until finished. Purchase of
third trailer is desperately needed. We
have a bid for $5,900. This is
comparable to what we currently use and does not include any exterior logo
painting. Bob Slade was able to secured a tractor for the pit crew to use for equipment
moves from Clermont County Equipment.
This company’s name should be placed on a trailer as a Band supporter.
DRUMLINE: Ann Shook-

GUARD: Connie Duguid-
No report.
MEMBERSHIP: Julie
Foster- It is
time to take student pictures for the buttons.
Pictures will be taken during Band Camp. It was suggested to have membership forms
available during the parent show.
UNIFORMS: Kathy
Christopher- Uniform
fittings will be the next two weeks during Band Camp. Cathy issued a plea for help with fittings.
BOA-
Tim Gerber- Planning is
still in the works for the BOA contests.
Entry fees have been paid and buses reserved.
HOSPITALITY/FOOD: Kim
Slade stated they still needed help with Directors/Clinician meals and for
football games (cookies). Contest meals
will be handled by Angie.
PUBLICITY: Gary
Presley- no report.
