CALL TO ORDER:  distributed to attendees:  Sign in sheet, June minutes, finance report.

 

April 29 MINUTES:  Minutes approved without revision.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT; No report.

 

PRESIDENTS’ REPORT: Will be working on Band Camp packet to be mailed to Parents.  Papers will be color coordinated.  To include:  new uniform sheet, shoes and glove policy.  Color guard needs to be directed to Drew. Reception after Pat Wilson’s memorial service was great.  Connie Duguid thanked for coordinating effort.

 

DIRECTORS’ REPORT: Nothing to report.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • WAYS AND MEANS - No report.
  • SCRIPTS - No report.
  • DELEGATE AT LARGE - Raylene Gerber attending School Board meeting tonight.
  • CHAPERONES - No report.
  • EQUIPMENT - Tony has electronically submitted estimate for trailer purchase. Clean the Shed party tentatively set for Aug 9 at 2:00 p.m.  It was suggested to start earlier.
  • DRUMLINE AND GUARD - Ann  Shook and Connie Duguid-  Need students to sign up for Miami Days on July 11, 12, 13.  Hours approved for Sr. volunteer hrs and will be capped at 10 hours so all can get timeslots.   $4,000 donation from Miami Township to be split between Drumline and Guard to offset winter costs.  Parent volunteers are welcomed.  Community service forms need to be filled out and signed by Shook or Duguid.
  • GUARD - Connie Duguid- see above.
  • MEMBERSHIP- Julie Foster - Membership forms are being turned in.
  • UNIFORMS- Kathy Christopher - All uniforms are cleaned and ready.  Full days ahead at Band Camp with fittings occurring during sectionals.  Tues. evenings will be Sewing time (7:00 to 8:30 p.m.)  Bring your own machine, lessons will be offered.
  • BOA- Tim Gerber- Buses reserved and deposits paid .  Working on hotels for Indy. 
  • HOSPITALITY- No report.  Will need refreshments for Clean the Shed Day.
  • FOOD- No report.

·         PUBLICITY- Gary Presley-  Cinci.com has changed website.  Gary is working on new blog where pictures, videos can be submitted by members only.  Also, thanked the Boosters for paying for Drum Major Camp.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Band Movie - contact Susan Sloan via email or phone.  Price is $10.00
  • Lisa Cieslewicz is pursuing Cracker Barrel to match a Capital campaign which will be used to purchase additional trailers.
  • Bob Slade received email from Drew in regards to Show Props,
  • Parent Show - will be moved to Aug. 15.  Rehearsal will stop at 5:00 p.m., so Students can be fed and dressed for 6:00 show.  Pool party afterward.  Deposit has been made for pool party.
  • Kim Haas is working on Jazz Band Concert July 18th.  Food provided free but donations encouraged. 
  • Letters to be mailed for Corporate donations.  Kim Slade and Bev. Pineault to work on.
  • Ann Shook and her flamingo helpers are still “flocking”.
