CALL TO ORDER: Distributed to attendees: Sign-in sheet, Finance Report, April Minutes
APRIL 1 MINUTES: Minutes approved without revision.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Brenda Bayne – Report approved without revision.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Kim Slade – We’ll be discussing nominations for next year in this meeting, plus improving communications for next season. May is a very business month culminating with the Memorial Day Parade and Commencement.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Chaperones are needed for May 17th Junior High going to OMEA Competition. Contact Theresa Wandstrat if you can help. 965-0378
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Ways & Means: Kim Haas – The Mulch Sale is over! We sold just over 3500 bags and moved most of those were delivered last Saturday. We made somewhere around $650 for Boosters – over and above the Fair Share paid to the students. The biggest Fair Share sold was $454! Remember to put the Max & Erma’s date (May 12) on your calendar.
OMEA: Lisa Cieslewicz – no report
SCRIP, Krogers, Meijers, Dominos, Panera: – no report
Delegate at Large: Raylene Gerber – no report
Chaperones: Bev and Theresa – no report
Equipment: Bob Slade – Thanks to all mulch movers on Saturday. Thanks to the Haas’ family who did a great job orchestrating the sale and the delivery. Hospitality (food) was the best part of the day! We’re looking for a new trailer so Bob’s going to recruit volunteers to help him shop and obtain some bids.
Drumline: Ann Shook – Staff Shirts still for sale from the show that didn’t happen. Volunteers are needed to assist with the Banquet on May 22. Sign up with Ann at 965-0537.
Guard: Connie Duguid – The “Joyful Noise” costumes and the “Love/Hate” flags have been sold – no details yet. We’ve also sold this year’s winter guard uniforms ALREADY! The buyer purchased them while the kids were still in them!!! Baskets will be displayed at the Spring concert on May 22 for silent auction – initial bidding to begin at half of the value of the basket. Absentee bids can be accepted, too. BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK! Marching Band Uniforms: Kathy Christopher – no report, but help is needed for next year!! Contact Kathy if you can use a needle, thread a needle, or would be willing to learn. 575-4637
Concert Band Uniforms: Sue Hayes - No uniforms will be
worn at the Spring Concert. Directors will give the students dress guidelines
for the concert.

New Business: $3400 from Capital Campaign is available for possible trailer purchase.
Nominations Committee – Wendy, Brenda, and Tim put forth the following slate of nominees for the membership to consider. A call for nominations from the floor was made, but upon hearing none a motion was made to close the nominations. The following officers were elected to their posts by unanimous vote:

CNotify Information – John Pineault will act as our administrator and liaison with Val Miller. Boosters are encouraged to sign up for the Band’s group and can contact Val at consult@milfordschools.org if they’ve forgotten their username and password.

Buy-it-in-Milford books available and will be on sale at the Spring concert.
State of Ohio recently voted to allow marching band membership to count as physical education credit. Could we discuss this in the future?
Next meeting is May 15 – Retiring officers and committee chairs are encouraged to speak with their replacements soon and pass over all documentation in your possession.
