Milford Band Booster Meeting

CALL TO ORDER: Meeting began at 9:00

TREASURER’S REPORT: Approved and filed for report
PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Wow! We had a GREAT two day event here with our Milford Winter Guard and Drum Line Show. Lana Wullenweber did an amazing job of organizing every aspect of the event. The Boosters really came through. We had plenty of drinks, desserts and workers. It was a really fun time for all who took part. Thank you, thank you for your help.
Congrats to the Directors and all the students who participated in the OMEA competition and once again earned superior ratings!
DIRECTORS REPORT:
MRS. TOWNER – A great performance! MHS was the only high school in which both bands received superior ratings. We need $75.00 to pay clinician Bob Bass. There is the possibility of PTSA paying/reimbursing the expense. A motion was passed to pay clinician, Bob Bass.
WAYS AND MEANS: Tim Paulus
Mulch distribution date is April 9th. Due to this date change additional mulch was purchased and will be sold on a first come first served basis. A couple more trucks are still needed to help with delivery on the 9th.
Biggs – April 9th from 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm
MARCHING UNIFORMS: Casual uniforms will be worn for Marching Season 2005-2006.
DELEGATE AT LARGE: Vicky Pielsticker
Disney Trip was approved by the Board!!!
SENIOR COMMITTEE: Pat Bodner
The payment deadline for the Senior Trip must be met on time. The payment for the hotel and coach buses is due in advance. Thank you.
FAIRSHARE REVIEW: Steve Howes
The following proposed changes have been posted to the Band Booster Web site.
The Band Boosters will always operate on a break even budget.
Two additional line items: 1. miscellaneous charges and 2. Uniforms – depreciation of uniforms and future costs associated with replacing the uniforms.
“Special Fundraisers” will be considered mandatory for all members of the program. If you choose not to participate according to the Fair Share guidelines your account will be charged accordingly.
A motion was passed to accept the revisions to the Fair Share Program.
NEW BUSINESS:
Band Booster Scholarship – Three applications have been received. The recipient will be announced at the April meeting.
