BAND BOOSTER MEETING
June 24, 2004
The meeting was called to order at 7:40pm
PRESIDENT - Biz asked all the Board that was present to introduce themselves. Thank you to all those who made the end of the year enjoyable. The HUT has been cleaned out and the Guard closet too!! All organized and ready to go for the 2004-2003 season!!!
There was the sad news of a car accident that took the lives of a band member Kyle Starky’s, brother, Craig and Kyle a second Milford grad. Students were stopping by with prom pictures…and sharing memories of their lost friends. Another sad loss Erv’s mom was also killed in a car accident.
TREASURER’S REPORT - New format
DIRECTOR’S REPORT - Brian – We will be getting a tower on the field. Dr. Bauer has scraped together some money for a movable tower. Jenny Logan, Treasurer on the Board of Education helped pass it through. $16,300 was approved for this tower and should be ready for September.
BOA - Steve Howes has booked The Embassy Suites in downtown Indy for the BOA in November 2004!!! Thanks Steve.
Youngstown Regional we are scheduled in the 3rd block for Saturday, October 2nd and the Indy Nationals Thursday, November 4th. The performance is at 6:00pm.
COLOR GUARD -The flags are designed and ready to order fabric. Anne is sewing costumes. The Guard will be hosting a Garage Sale/Flea Market. Is anyone interested in donating?? We need to set a date. It was suggested to call Secretary, Angela Bates. Before July 1st.
WAYS AND MEANS - Tim – Disney Stuff is all sent out and we should be getting payment books. We need more chaperones for the Disney Trip. We have 9 and need 20. The numbers may include the three Directors some Uniform Moms. Market Day-- Nelsons Chicken is scheduled for the 4th at Riverfest. We need 20 people to work for both days.
Bosco Fund - Miami Meadows is schedule. We have a table with a tent for our people.
Red Games are still going strong.
Idea of buddy cards $10.00 buy one get one fare share $5.00. Just carry out. Kim will chair it. 8 free pizzas and can be used at all La Rosa’s.
Script orders are here please pick them up!! Mona and Bill SCRIPT are up to date. $1,300 received back from Kroger.
Budget put every thing as an expense. Negative numbers are good. Biz explained the new budget format and the pros to the change. This will give consistency from year to year.
Seventh and Eighth graders need to be introduced to the process.
MEMBERSHIP – 50 plus members. We are looking for someone to Chair this committee.

CONCERT UNIFORMS - Tuxedo have been picked up for cleaning.
MARCHING UNIFORMS – ordered gloves if we need to order pant will be there be funds. Pants were found at a dirt cheap price of $40.00

CHAPERONES – No Report
EQUIPMENT – Recruiting pit crew and trucks to tow.
DELGATE AT LARGE – Vicky is out of town.

NEW BUSINESS
New System is on Quick Books; a true accounting system. A detailed statement for each Band member will be generated and sent home. Patti has put in all info on each band member. This is a very detailed statement. Patti will be running statement this weekend.
We do have an opportunity to have a tent at the football games. We need to let the Athletic department know.
Someone is needed to put together the Video for the end of the year.
Spirit Wear The deadline to order is July 19th. Product will be available the first week of band camp.
